Best Seasons for Surfing in Goa

October – November (Post-Monsoon Swells): This is one of the best times of the year to surf in Goa. The ocean comes alive after the monsoon, with consistent waves that suit both beginners and intermediates.

December – April: The waves during these months are more on-and-off, but there are still plenty of surfable days. It’s a great time for beginners to practice in mellow conditions and enjoy safe, easy waves.

May (Pre-Monsoon): Towards the end of May, waves gain power again. This makes it a good period for intermediate surfers, while still offering some smaller days for learners.

June – September (Monsoon): The ocean is rough and unpredictable, with strong winds and currents. Surf lessons are not conducted during this period for safety reasons.
